Have you ever wondered if there’s a difference in the final product using different bacon-cooking methods? We tried three of the most popular methods – skillet, oven, and air fryer – and here was the result:
Can you tell the difference just looking at them? Maybe a little. But can you guess which piece was cooked using which method?
Here’s the answer. From left to right the slices were cooked in the skillet, oven, and air fryer respectively. As far as taste – they’ve all got that bacon-y goodness you love from Fletcher’s. But that doesn’t mean that certain cooking methods don’t have their benefits.
Air Fryer: Best for quick cooking. This was the fastest, most hands-off bacon of the bunch!
Oven: Best for cooking larger volumes of bacon. It’s also the fastest clean-up (if you use aluminum foil to cover your rimmed baking sheet).
Skillet: Best for cooking up a couple of pieces. Also requires no special equipment.
